![]() I would be surprised if they do, but I suppose anything is possible. I don't know if the Google system will allow this type of Bridge Mode setup. It is a simple matter to turn off the WiFi on the Time Capsule and then connect another wireless access point to one of the LAN Ethernet ports on the Time assumes that the access point can be configured to operate in Bridge Mode.to allow the Time Capsule to continue to function as your network router. Is there a possible configuration option that would allow me to set this up? ![]() although some mesh products now do allow for wired backbone. (wireless access points) This works a lot better than mesh systems running wireless backbone. If you own the house wire ethernet into a few points and run multiple WAP. If you have 200Mbps and you want clients as far as possible to be able to max out the system it may not work if wireless has several hops. say 50Mbps then it will probably work well. Let me add that mesh systems look much better on paper than they often do in reality. You can also turn off wireless completely in the TC and just use it as main router that is fine. There is capacity in the band for two or three routers to function in close proximity to each other with some small drop in efficiency. and you can even leave its wifi turned on if you like. The TC can still work as the main router. with the other google wifi units set as mesh. The 1st google wifi can plug into the Airport by ethernet and operate in WAP mode. And I didn't want to mess anything up so I stopped n just put it all bank to the way I had it. I did play with the Time capsule and saw an area where I could extend current network in the utility app, but when i tried it it didn't work. ![]() My office is on side of my condo and the Bell Modem is in my living room, I have a 25 foot ethernet running along baseboards connecting the two units today. SO what do i need to do to extend my current Bell network and eliminate my capsule WIFI I currently own really use much. I was reading that you can not extend wifi as I need another Apple Product to do so, then I saw this support string that says I can actual do this if i am ethernet from my broadband to my capsule. I currently use my Airport timecapsule A1470 for printing and connectivity in my office, directly WAN to my Bell Fibe Home Hub, and broadcast my own apple wifi network under it. I need to make my wifi better for all my "smart devices." of today. Extending current WIFI range and signal strength in my condo using my Airport Time Capsule I want to extend my current wifi network from ISP Bell, I have a Fiber connect Bell Home Hub 3000 dual 2.5 & 5 ghz wifi modem.
